LEAGUE OF LEGENDS - ASIA FINALS REPORT

2016-04-27 13:04

Hello guys, we saw some exciting finals this weekend on Chinese and Korean LCS scene. Best teams on the world will be fighting against each other for last places on MSI in Shangai in few days. Let’s get into details.

First on the line is match for the crown in LPL. Royal Never Give Up challenged team Edward Gaming in Bo5 series. In theory it should have been really close match up because experienced EDG with players like Pawn or Deft would be ballanced with good teamfighting of RNG team. Prognosis of experts went wrong after 1:1 start of series – RNG showed up that teamfighting is in actual patch definitely more important that anything else and took the whole series 3:1.

Winner squad of RNG.

The second battle was a rematch of the World Finals with Rox Tigers (formerly KOO Tigers) taking on SKT1. Everyone sort of expected this outcome because Rox dominated whole split in LCK and top laner Smeb won MVP for the regular season. The dramatic series went to SKT1 in the end with 3:1 score. The last game took over 40 minutes and hinged on a clutch Baron fight that would have won either team the game and possibly opened Rox Tigers the way back to the fight.

Five LCK trophies in SKTT1 house.. 2013 summer, 2013-14 Winter, 2015 spring, 2015 summer, 2016 spring.

It was really great final series to watch. For recap or just re-live the drama, you can watch all the games on You Tube as they’re uploaded here.
