Overwatch Summer Olympic games

2016-08-04 12:08

The long expected Olympic games in Rio De Janeiro are here! And not only on TV but also in Overwatch! Experience the Olympic hype in your game with new skins, emotes, intros and even Lucioball!

The summer games update is filled with olympic content.
D.Va, Genji, Lucio, McCree, Mercy, Tracer, Widowmaker, Zarya and Torbjorn are getting skins based on their state of origin so they can represent their nation.

We are also getting many new sports inspired icons, sprays, emotes and intros.

Asking yourself how to get all this content? Well, the only way we can get any of this is by opening Summer Loot Boxes (Which replace original lootboxes) that guarantee to have at least one piece of Summer games content, because you can’t buy any of this content by ingame credits!

But wait! There’s more!
Lucioball! The all new (Hey there Rocket League) soccer gamemode is now available!

But are we going to see more sports? Maybe basketball (Yea, Rocket League again…) Do we remember something similar? Maybe? The critic’s original Overwatch? The one and only? Team fortress? Oh yea.. There’s this.

All Summer games content is available from August 2nd to August 22nd. So make sure to grind those levels and get as many lootboxes as possible!

We also have few words from the game director Jeff Kaplan about seasonal content.

So we can expect more seasonal content from Blizzard and Overwatch.
